This product inherits the ancient firing technique of the Qing Dynasty imperial kiln’s pastel color glazing. It is made from traditional porcelain clay, and is meticulously crafted through multiple processes such as preliminary firing, applying glaze, painting colors, gold detailing, and re-firing. The entire piece is coated with a warm and lustrous white glaze, with a uniform and elegant color, a smooth and fine surface like polished jade, a dense and solid base, fully showcasing the luxurious texture of pastel-colored porcelain. The body of the jar is hand-painted by artisans with the “Group of Deer” pattern, where the deer have various postures, either running or lying down, accompanied by ancient pine trees, flowers and plants. The brushwork is vivid and natural, with inscribed poems and prose to highlight the artistic conception. The lid is decorated with floral and bird patterns, and a gold-embossed auspicious beast knob is on the top. All the hand-painted patterns are lively and expressive, without the dullness of industrialized printing. The entire piece is of exquisite craftsmanship, fully demonstrating the elegant grace of the Qing Dynasty imperial kiln.
In Chinese folk culture, “deer” is pronounced the same as “lu” (meaning wealth and good fortune), carrying a beautiful connotation of high-ranking officials and abundant blessings. The ancient pine trees symbolize longevity and health, combined with the rich colors of pastel glazing, it aligns with the ancient people’s yearning for wealth and longevity, and conveys the hope for a prosperous and harmonious life.
The body of the general jar is sturdy and full, featuring both practicality and ornamental value. It can be used to store tea, small items for tea collection, and be placed in a tea room or study for daily storage; it can also be displayed in pairs in an auditorium, with its ma
gnificent and grand shape and profound cultural connotations being the preferred choice for new Chinese-style soft furnishing decorations and elegant gift items.
