The pair of Meiping (a type of Chinese vase) made of Hetian white jade with elaborate shallow relief and scrolling West Indian hibiscus patterns come from an old collection.
$ 12,000.00
This pair of meiping vases is integrally hollowed and carved from premium bulk Hetian greenish-white jade, fully decorated with low-relief interlocking passionflower scrollwork. The jade features a warm creamy greenish-white base tone, thick waxy gelatinous texture and inherent subtle glossy luster. Each vase has a flared mouth, banana-leaf band at the neck, full-body low-relief interlocking floral scrolls on the body, and chrysanthemum-petal band near the foot, matched with double-layer fabric display base. Dimension: Height 23.5cm × Width 8cm (9.25×3.15in). All hollowing, low-relief carving and polishing work is finished by pure traditional handcraft without mass-produced industrial molds. The jade develops richer tone and antique patina after long-term preservation away from direct strong light. Auspicious Meanings: Blossoming prosperity, endless fortune, peace and smoothness, rising career, noble refinement, doubled blessing. It serves as high-end art collectible, hall flower vessel, study decorative ornament and premium housewarming gift. Care Instruction: Avoid dropping and hard impact to prevent chipping on rim, relief edges and foot. Keep away from oil fume, perfume and chemical detergents to prevent jade staining. Do not expose under direct sunlight. Wipe with soft dry cloth and store in sealed light-proof and moisture-proof box when not on display; always hold by the body, never lift by the neck.
